Tender, juicy pork chops slowly cooked in a rich, creamy gravy until perfectly flavorful. This easy comfort-food recipe is perfect for busy weeknights or a cozy family dinner.
Ingredients
4–6 pork chops
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp dried thyme
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1 cup chicken broth
½ cup heavy cream or whole milk
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Dijon mustard
½ tsp black pepper
Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and thyme.
- For extra flavor, heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the pork chops for 2–3 minutes per side until lightly browned. This step is optional.
- In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, cream, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, and remaining seasonings.
- Place the pork chops in the slow cooker and pour the gravy mixture evenly over them.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 2½–3½ hours, until the pork is tender and reaches 145°F (63°C) internally.
- Carefully remove the pork chops and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Stir the gravy in the slow cooker. If it is too thin, simmer it separately or add a small cornstarch slurry made with 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp cold water.
- Spoon the creamy gravy generously over the pork chops and garnish with fresh parsley.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with creamy mashed potatoes, white rice, buttered egg noodles, roasted vegetables, green beans, or warm dinner rolls.
Pro Tip
For the most flavorful result, don’t skip the quick sear. It adds a delicious browned flavor, while the slow cooker keeps the pork tender and lets the savory gravy soak into every bite.
